Quick Answer: What Warranty and Support Should You Expect?
Expect the warranty to cover the parts that move and the support to outlive the sale. Arclight covers mechanical components (excluding wear parts) for as long as the original purchaser owns the table, warrants the controller, motors and torch height control electronics on ArcCNC tables for 36 months, and backs every table with a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. Behind the paper is what matters more in year three: lifetime tech support that follows the table, even to a new owner, from support engineers in Oregon who know your machine; same-day shipping on in-stock replacement parts; and more support technicians than any other light-industrial CNC plasma manufacturer. When you compare tables, compare support the same way you compare price: who answers the phone, how fast parts ship, whether support transfers if you sell, and whether the software stops working if you stop paying.
In This Guide
Why Does Support Matter More Than Price on a CNC Plasma Table?
Because a plasma table is not a tool you buy and forget. It is a computer, a controller, drives, a torch height control system and a plasma cutter working together, and it sits at the center of your shop’s workflow. When it stops, parts stop. The buyers who regret a table rarely regret the frame. They regret not being able to reach anyone who can help them run it.
So compare support the way you compare price. For every table on your shortlist, find out who answers the phone, whether you can reach a technician who knows your model, how long replacement parts take to ship, whether support transfers to the next owner if you sell, and whether the CAD, CAM and CNC software keeps working if you stop paying. Those answers decide what the table costs you over ten years, not the sticker.
What Does the Arclight Warranty Cover?
The short version: mechanical components are covered for as long as the original purchaser owns the table, and electronics coverage depends on which control system your table runs. Warranties start the day the table leaves the Arclight facility in Bend, Oregon.
| Component | ArcCNC tables (Ultra) | FlashCut CNC tables (X, Unlimited, Elite, Pro Elite V3) |
|---|---|---|
| Controller, motors and torch height control electronics | 3 years | 1 year on the controller, cabling and motors |
| Other electronics (limit switches, E-stops, separate cables) | 2 years | 2 years |
| System computer | 1 to 3 years depending on the computer supplied | 3 years |
| Monitor, keyboard and mouse | Touchscreen monitor 3 years; keyboard and mouse 2 years | 2 years |
| Accessory package electronics and mechanical components (excluding wear parts) | 2 years | 2 years |
| Mechanical components, excluding wear parts | For as long as the original purchaser owns the table | For as long as the original purchaser owns the table |
| Hypertherm® Powermax power supply / torch | 3 years / 1 year, handled through Hypertherm customer support (800-737-2978) | 3 years / 1 year, handled through Hypertherm customer support (800-737-2978) |
Summarized from the Arclight warranty page. Wear parts such as bearings, lead screws, gear racks, pinions, linear rails, slats, slide blocks and water pans are excluded, as is corrosion damage. Warranties start the day the table leaves Bend; the buyer pays shipping to Arclight on a warranty repair, and ground shipping is credited back once the defect is confirmed. Read the full warranty before you buy.
Two things to notice. Mechanical components are covered for as long as you own the table, which is the Arclight frame standing behind itself. And the warranty is tied to the original purchaser, while tech support is not: support follows the table to whoever owns it next.
Can You Extend a CNC Plasma Table Warranty?
Yes. Arclight offers extended warranty packages (from $1,000) that add one or two years to every existing warranty term from the date the original coverage expires, on new and pre-owned systems. The packages also set how fast replacement parts ship: Platinum overnight, Gold in two days, Silver by priority in three to five. Extended warranties are currently available on tables running the ArcCNC controller, the Arc Pro Ultra V3 and Arc Max Ultra. They do not extend the Hypertherm cutter’s warranty or the warranties on compressors, tumblers, sanders and routers, which carry their own manufacturer coverage.
What Does Lifetime Tech Support Actually Include?
A person who knows your table, for as long as the table exists. Every Arclight table is backed for life by support engineers in Oregon. You reach them by phone or email, and the team sees every call through to resolution; if you leave a message, they call back in order. Support covers the whole workflow, not only the hardware: design, CAD, CAM, operation, optimization and troubleshooting. Arclight employs more support technicians than any other light-industrial CNC plasma table manufacturer.
Support also comes in forms other than a phone call:
- Remote desktop support, so a technician can see your screen and fix a software problem while you watch
- Live video conferencing for a problem that is easier to show than describe
- A video library of short training videos covering the controller, software and Hypertherm cutter, which you can start before the table arrives
- A comprehensive written operations manual for the table and every accessory
- A private owners’ forum on Facebook, monitored by Arclight support and open only to Arclight table owners and operators
And it follows the table. Sell your Arclight table and the next owner gets the same lifetime support you had. That protects your resale value and it tells you something about how the company thinks about the machines it builds.
What Training Comes With an Arclight CNC Plasma Table?
Enough to be cutting the first day and comfortable within a couple of weeks. Every table includes a complimentary half-day, one-on-one training session on a shop table at Arclight’s facility in Bend, Oregon, whether you drive in to pick up your table or fly in for the day. If you cannot travel, free video-call training covers the same ground. The video library and the operations manual let you start learning before delivery, and on-site training at your shop is available for an additional fee. Every table is also fully tested and ships 98 percent assembled, so setup is about an hour and a half of connecting the cabinet, motors, power, air and water, with a technician a phone call away for the first cuts.
How Fast Do CNC Plasma Table Replacement Parts Ship?
Same day on in-stock parts. Warranty parts are stocked and ready to ship, expedited shipping is available at your cost when the table is down and production is waiting, and the consumables and wear parts you will actually replace, nozzles, electrodes, shields, swirl rings, slats, are in the Arclight store. The practical advice from our accessories guide still stands: keep a set of torch consumables on the shelf, because the shelf is faster than any truck.
What Is the 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee?
If you are not satisfied with the performance of your system within 30 days of receiving it, you can return it or upgrade it for a full refund less shipping, handling, damage and freight charges. Returned items need to be in new, saleable condition apart from bench testing, a return authorization number comes first, and items that have been used or modified can carry a restocking fee of up to 20 percent. All sales are final after the 30 days. It is a simple promise: run the software, cut parts, and decide with the table in your shop rather than in a brochure.

- Does support transfer if I sell the table?
- How long is the warranty on the controller and motors?
- Are replacement parts in stock, and how fast do they ship?
- Does the software stop working if I stop paying?
- Is there a satisfaction guarantee once the table is in my shop?
- Is training included, and in what form?
Arclight’s answers are above.
